Unimaginable torture endured by Palestinians in Israeli prisons

It has come to light that Palestinian detainees are subjected to unimaginable torture and inhumane treatment at the Sde Teiman prison in the Negev Desert. According to statements from two officials who worked at the facility and spoke to CNN International, Israeli soldiers subjected detainees held there to savage torture for months. According to the officials' statements, Palestinian prisoners are bound with straps, blindfolded, and held with cloths. According to the Israeli source working at the facility who spoke to CNN, the facility has a heavy atmosphere due to the smell of festering wounds. Prisoners are completely forbidden from speaking with each other. In the event that a prisoner does speak, there is a clear directive to silence them. The facility, located approximately 40 kilometers from the Gaza border, is divided into two sections: enclosed areas where around 70 Palestinian detainees from Gaza are held under extreme physical restrictions, and a field hospital where injured detainees are strapped to their beds and dressed in diapers. Sources revealing injuries caused by constant handcuffing stated that doctors sometimes have to amputate prisoners' limbs. They reported that these medical procedures are carried out by untrained personnel. Sources revealing that Palestinians held in the field hospital are fed through a straw and are bound to their beds naked emphasized that the torture is not carried out for gathering intelligence but solely for revenge. Sources reporting that Israeli soldiers set their dogs on Palestinian detainees, tearing them apart, emphasized that even for them, the events unfolding were chilling.
