Having already caused numerous fatalities in the Philippines, Typhoon Bualoi is now impacting Vietnam.
The heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding have been particularly severe in the southern part of the country, most notably in Ho Chi Minh City.
Floodwaters have damaged roads, homes, and infrastructure across the city, and the local zoo has also sustained serious damage.
While animals were moved to safe areas, many animal enclosures were submerged, requiring urgent intervention for their care.
Authorities have confirmed that emergency teams are continuing their operations and that necessary precautions are being taken to ensure public safety.
