Tehran hosts ‘Minab’s Eyes’ exhibit honoring children killed in school strike

An exhibition titled 'Minab's Eyes' has been organized in Tehran, the capital of Iran, for the children who lost their lives in the bombing of a primary school in the city of Minab on February 28, the first day of attacks allegedly carried out by the United States and Israel. Photographs of students who died in the US-Israeli attack were hung in Tajrish Square in Tehran. Organized under the leadership of the Tehran Municipality, the 'Minab's Eyes' event emphasized the innocence of the children who lost their lives in the attack. In the photographs displayed in Tajrish Square, the children's eyes were particularly highlighted. Rıza Golpayegani, the project manager of the exhibition, said in a statement that the eyes—described as the 'window of the soul'—are a way to express deep human emotions such as sorrow and vulnerability. Golpayegani stated that the project, prepared with the idea of not forgetting the attacks by the US and Israel targeting children, carries not only an artistic but also a memorial character. It was reported that 185 people, including children and teachers, were killed in the bombing carried out on February 28, when US-Israeli attacks on Iran began, targeting the Şeceretü't-Tayyibe Girls' Primary School in Minab, Hormozgan province.
