Journalist and activist Abdullah Aytekin took on the responsibility of distributing paper, pencils, and paint supplies to schools in the region, inspired by the pictures of Mona, a Palestinian girl who lost 26 members of her family in the 2008 lead operation carried out by Zionist Israel.
His goal was to enable children to document their lives in Gaza and what they witnessed on paper, as well as to document this testimony.
Since 2008, these pictures, under Aytekin's patronage, are being exhibited to visitors in the "Bulletproof Dreams: Gaza Painters Exhibition".
