TEKNOFEST, the world's largest Aviation, Space, and Technology Festival, has opened its doors in Ankara on the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Republic, inviting technology and science enthusiasts to participate.
Running for the 7th time in Türkiye and 8th time overall since its inception in 2018, TEKNOFEST is organized in collaboration with 125 institutions, including ministries, public and private sector entities, academic institutions, and media companies. The event is a vital component of Türkiye's national technology ecosystem, managed by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3) and the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
TEKNOFEST Ankara, aligned with the vision of the "National Technology Move" for a fully independent Türkiye, welcomes millions with great enthusiasm and excitement.
The official ceremony, commencing at 09:00, will feature events such as the "Rafadan Crew Technological Crew," "Hürkuş ve Gökbey Musical," and a "Tuluyhan Uğurlu Concert," culminating at 14:30.
Throughout the festival's first day, participants will engage in a plethora of activities, ranging from vertical wind tunnel experiences to sun observations, space-themed playgrounds, and simulation engagements. Educational workshops will also be available.
The day will encompass competitions such as "Agricultural Technologies," "Transportation and Mobility Technologies," "Communication and Communication Technologies," "Space, Aviation, and Defense Technologies," "Education Technologies," and "Disaster Management Technologies."
An inaugural event at TEKNOFEST Ankara will be the Experiment Card Robolig Competition, aimed at expanding the project portfolio of the locally developed Experiment Card and fostering collaboration between project developers and high-tech enthusiasts.
TEKNOFEST's Entrepreneurship Competition boasts a prize pool of over 7 million Turkish liras, with the Experiment Card Robolig Competition awarding 270 thousand liras in total.
The festival's centerpiece remains the air shows, a hallmark of TEKNOFEST. Performances by Turkish Stars, Solo Türk, HÜRKUŞ, GÖKBEY, AKSUNGUR, Bayraktar TB2, Bayraktar TB3, Gendarmerie Steel Wings, Akıncı, Atak Helicopter, and Anka are eagerly anticipated throughout the event.
The festival's second stop, coinciding with the Republic's 100th anniversary, welcomes enthusiasts to Ankara Etimesgut Airport until September 3.
TEKNOFEST Ankara features numerous promotional and event stands. With a footprint spanning 215 thousand square meters, the festival hosts a total of 261 stands, including 103 stakeholder institutions, 16 sponsors, 90 companies from 11 sectors, and 131 participating companies, with 41 food court participants.
