Rare statue of Egyptian god Pataikos discovered at ancient city in eastern Türkiye
A figure of the Ancient Egyptian god Pataikos was found during excavation works in the ancient city of Perre, one of the five major cities of the Kingdom of Commagene.
Mehmet Yelken, Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism, emphasized the importance of the ongoing excavations at Perre and noted that archaeologists are proceeding with great care due to the site's archaeological and historical significance.
