In an interview with SABAH, Fadime Taşçı, an earthquake victim from Kahramanmaraş Göksun who was residing at a hotel in Kumbağ District, shared her disbelief upon hearing the news of their impending eviction by the CHP Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality.

One of the quake survivors, İsmail Güldağ from Kahramanmaraş said: '' The state was the one who arranged our stay here and made an agreement with the hotel. We were initially informed that we would be allowed to leave on Sunday, but then the Mayor of Tekirdağ Süleymanpaşa from the Justice and Development (AK) Party intervened."
