The Presidential Children's Orchestra and Choir, dedicated to nurturing future musicians and preserving Turkish musical heritage, will perform a special May 19th concert at the Presidential Complex.

The project is supported in partnership with the Ministry of National Education, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ministry of Family and Social Services, Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Ankara University of Music and Fine Arts, with additional backing from Türk Telekom. Aimed at passing down Türkiye's musical heritage and instruments to new generations, the orchestra and choir also provide significant opportunities for children's mental, emotional, and social development by encouraging cooperation, communication, and teamwork in a musical setting.

Participants are trained every weekend in diverse branches such as Turkish Art Music, Turkish Folk Music, and Western Music ensembles. Instruction is offered in a wide range of instruments and vocals, from violin, bağlama, oud, and clarinet to piano, cello, guitar, and percussion, under the guidance of experienced teachers and conductors.

For the highly-anticipated May 19th concert, a 151-piece orchestra and 109-member choir will take the stage with an extensive selection of traditional, classical, and popular pieces. This grand performance is coordinated and directed by a leadership team including Presidential Chief Advisor Fecir Alptekin, Prof. Dr. Zafer Kurtaslan, and CSO artist Atay Bağcı, along with choral directors Prof. Dr. Ahter Destan and Instructor Esin Doğan.

As part of the broader project, over 50 coordinators, trainers, and pedagogical experts from leading arts and educational organizations are involved, making this a unique initiative not just in music education, but also in fostering a culture of understanding, peace, and cooperation among Türkiye's youth. The concert on May 19th will highlight the talents and creativity of these young musicians while celebrating Türkiye's rich cultural and musical tradition.
