The Anadolu is set to be equipped with various domestic systems and its production saw the involvement of a large number of local companies and subcontractors, with a locality rate of around 70% in its manufacturing.
''We want to start the day with photos that will make our noble nation proud.'' the Turkish National Defense Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
''The AH-1W Super Cobra and SH-70 Seahawk helicopters of our Navy, which can be seen in the photos, have completed their first landing on our multipurpose amphibious ship LHD ANATOLIA.'' according to the statement.
''We wish safe flights and successful missions to our aircrafts that will serve on the LHD ANATOLIA, which we are eagerly waiting to enter into service.'' the ministry added.
