Istanbul Strait was captured by underwater camera

Underwater documentary filmmaker and director of photography Tahsin Ceylan captured the ecosystem and cultural heritage of the Istanbul Strait, where he dove, using time-lapse underwater camera techniques. The footage features the reflection of structures located along the Bosphorus, such as the Dolmabahçe Palace, which is part of Istanbul's cultural heritage, and the Büyük Mecidiye Mosque in Ortaköy, in the blue waters. In the footage recorded during a wreck dive near the Büyük Mecidiye Mosque, marine life such as scorpion fish, jellyfish, flame shells, and mussels reveal the diversity of the underwater world, while the sea lettuces along the shoreline also attract attention. In the footage from a dive off Sivriada, the westernmost of the Marmara Sea's islands near Istanbul, orange coral reefs adorn the blue waters. The abundance of starfish is also notable, while the reflection of Democracy and Freedoms Island can be seen in the footage. The footage also includes the Maiden's Tower, described as 'the elegant symbol of the city,' which has been restored and renewed.
