Hüseyin Kara, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the tea production company hosting the event, shared that their facility processes approximately 15 tons of fresh tea every year.
He mentioned that their operations employ 110 individuals and they contribute around 150 million to the local producers in the Eynesil and Tirebolu regions on an annual basis.
Kara emphasized the significance of employment in tea agriculture to prevent migration in the region.
He said: "In the region stretching from Kesap Yolağzı to Eynesil, we have an annual production of 40 thousand tons of tea. Out of this, 15 thousand tons are processed by our company, Amber Tea, 10 thousand tons by ÇAYKUR, and the remaining quantity is processed by 7-8 special tea factories. The tea grown in our region has a distinct flavor. Our tea plants are 40 years younger compared to those in Rize, and we benefit from higher sun exposure."
