Eight people died and more than 40 were injured when a bus ran off the road and overturned in western Türkiye on Sunday, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca wrote on Twitter.
According to the authorities in the western Turkish province of Afyonkarahisar, the driver lost control of the vehicle before the crash. Images from the accident scene showed rescuers trying to recover the injured as a crane lifted the bus out of a ditch.
