Thanks to Baykar's technological capabilities and skills, the domestically produced Bayraktar TB2 was equipped with ASELFLIR-500.
According to the statement from ASELSAN, in the first stage of the test, the Bayraktar TB2 identified a moving unmanned target, designated it with ASELFLIR-500, and then effectively hit it with MAM-L ammunition.
In the second stage, the TB2 again designated targets from the air using ASELFLIR-500, and this time achieved an effective strike from the ground with KMC + CIRIT.
As a result of this successful operation, both stationary and moving ground targets were destroyed with pinpoint accuracy.
Defense Industry President Haluk Görgün quoted ASELSAN's post, adding the note: "National technology succeeds against all odds; the impossible just takes a little time."
In his post, Görgün stated: "Our national UAVs, ammunition, and electro-optical systems continue to make history in modern warfare. The world's best in its field, ASELSAN ASELFLIR-500, our pride BAYRAKTAR TB2, and ROKETSAN's superior ammunition and missile technologies once again demonstrated their readiness for challenging warfare scenarios."
