After initially dismissing it as a "fantasy" or "election campaign promise," some individuals started claiming that "it is not produced in Türkiye; it is brought from Italy on ships." These claims became more intense and turned into a smear campaign.
Following these claims made by journalists close to the opposition and on social media accounts, our team visited TOGG facilities. At the state-of-the-art TOGG factory in Gemlik, Bursa, every step of how the domestic car is produced was recorded second by second by the sabah.com.tr team. The visuals effectively debunked the opposition's claims.
