Akıncı UCAV hits the target with 'Tolun' miniature bomb

Turkish UCAV Bayraktar Akıncı hit its target with full accuracy in the test shot it carried out with the Tolun miniature bomb, which is developed nationally also and was fired for the first time from a UAV. Within the scope of Bayraktar Akıncı Project carried out under the leadership of the Presidency of Defense Industries, the integration of locally produced new ammunition and systems to Bayraktar Akıncı UCAV, which was developed nationally and originally by Baykar, continues successfully. Within this context, the test firing on Friday of the Tolun miniature bomb, developed by ASELSAN, was successfully completed, as the company shared a thrilling video of the test. Bayraktar Akıncı, who took off from Tekirdağ, Çorlu Bayraktar Akıncı Flight Training and Test Center with 4 Miniature Bombs under his fuselage; made its way to Konya Karapınar Shooting Test and Evaluation Center. Here, the local and national ammunition Tolun miniature bomb, fired by Bayraktar Akıncı, hit the target with GPS/INS guidance. Tolun miniature bomb, which was successfully fired from Bayraktar Akıncı UCAV, was tested on an unmanned aerial vehicle platform for the first time, hitting its target at 30 kilometers with a precise hit from an altitude of 26,000 feet, thanks to GPS/INS guidance. RECORD EXPORT Baykar has earned 75 percent of its total revenue from exports since the first time it started developing unmanned aerial vehicles about 20 years ago. Baykar, which was announced as the export leader in the defense and aerospace sectors by the Turkish Exporters Assembly in 2021, exported more than 1 billion dollars to 18 different countries in 2022. Export agreements comprised 98 percent of the contracts Baykar signed in 2022. As of 2022, export contracts were signed with 25 countries for Bayraktar TB2 and with 5 countries for Bayraktar Akıncı.
