Rare miracle: Cow in Artvin gives birth to quadruplets

In the Kemalpaşa district of Artvin, a farmer's cow gave birth to quadruplets. The cow, owned by Hurşit and Songül Tatar, who are engaged in livestock farming in the Haliçon neighborhood of Kayaköy, gave birth approximately 1.5 months ago. The Tatar couple was shocked to see that their cow had delivered four calves. After one of the calves passed away, the remaining three were checked and found to be in good health. Songül Tatar stated that their cow had previously given birth to twins three times, but this year, it had quadruplets. Tatar, who has been involved in livestock farming for nearly 30 years, said this was the first time she had encountered such a situation. 'Previously, it gave birth to twins. This year, it gave birth to quadruplets. We never expected it. It was a miracle for us. After the birth, our cow almost died. We called a veterinarian and saved it. I had never heard of a cow giving birth to four calves. We used to see it on TV and call it a miracle. Now, we've experienced it ourselves,' she explained. Tatar added that the calves were very healthy, 'We carefully cared for and fed them for about 15 days. Now, they are doing well. We feed them milk and beef feed. I love animals a lot. I will continue doing this work.'
