Worldwide known French actor Alain Delon [who rose to fame from films like Purple Noon (1960), Rocco and His Brothers (1960), L'Eclisse (1962), The Leopard (1963),] has recently decided to resort to euthanasia in the near future. The iconic actor has decided to end his life voluntarily because his health condition has been deteriorating, and will no longer allow him to act as he did before.

For Delon, euthanasia is "the most logical and natural thing", and a person should have "the right to get the hell out of it quietly, without going through hospitals, injections, or things".

The French actor revealed that to avoid any mess, he had agreed about the process with his lawyers long ago.

At the 45th Berlin International Film Festival, he won the Honorary Golden Bear. Furthermore, at the Cannes Film Festival, he was awarded with the Honorary Palme d'Or.
