Sambuca is located around 80 kilometers away from the border of Palermo and the city stands out especially with its mix of Italian and African culture.
The 1-year residency period starts on June 30 and the applications can be made on the official Airbnb page. The platform highlights that people interested in the offer should be above 18 and speak English. Speaking Italian is not a requirement though, given that the residence includes free Italian classes.
Airbnb also underlines that the interested people will have to live in Sambuca only for three months; and then they will be able to move to another place, on the condition that they host for one of the rooms of the house.
The best thing with the program is that, according to Airbnb, the host will be able to keep %100 of the rent of the room, which means that, to some extent, the program is like residency with a job included.
