During the harvest season, many seasonal workers come from cities such as Şanlıurfa, Adıyaman, and Diyarbakır to participate in apricot picking and drying activities. These workers engage in apricot-related tasks for approximately two months, contributing to the successful harvest and processing of the fruit in the region.
In Kendirli Mahallesi, Yeşilyurt district of Malatya, seasonal agricultural workers arrive at an apricot orchard and start their work with the first light of the morning.
Despite the scorching temperatures exceeding 35 degrees Celsius during the day, the workers diligently collect the apricots that have been shaken off the trees with the help of machines. They put the apricots into crates, preparing them to be processed and made ready for further use.
