EU and India agree on trade deal, von der Leyen says

The EU and India have finalized a historic trade agreement, creating a free trade zone covering two billion people, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced Tuesday.

The ⁠European Union and India have agreed ‍on a trade ‌deal, ‍European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Tuesday.

"Europe and India are making history today. We ⁠have concluded the mother of all deals. We have created a free ‌trade zone of two billion people, with both sides ‍set to ‍benefit", Von der ‍Leyen said ⁠on ‍social media platform X.
