Turkish stock exchange begins week up
Türkiye’s BIST 100 index opened Monday at 10,634.04, up 0.65%, while the lira traded at 42.34 to the US dollar and gold stood at $4,067.60 per ounce.

Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Monday at 10,634.04, up 0.65% or 68.3 points.
On Friday, the BIST 100 was down 0.59% to 10,565.74 points, with a daily transaction volume of 104 billion liras ($2.46 billion).
As of 10.05 am local time (0705GMT), exchange rates stood at 42.3375 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 48.1795 to the euro, and 55.7295 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,067.60, while Brent crude oil was trading at $63.4 per barrel.
