China launches communication technology test satellite
China successfully launched a new communication technology test satellite from the Wenchang Space Launch Site using a Long March-5 rocket, aiming to conduct multi-band and high-speed communication technology validation tests.

China on Thursday launched a new communication technology test satellite.
The satellite was sent from the Wenchang Space Launch Site in south China's Hainan province at 3.30 pm Beijing time (0730GMT).
The satellite was successfully carried aboard a Long March-5 rocket to its preset orbit.
It is planned to be used for multi-band and high-speed communication technology validation tests.
