Russia: Ukrainian attack on occupied city of Lysychansk leaves dozens dead

Dozens of people have been killed and several others got injured in the shelling of the eastern Ukrainian city of Lysychansk, which is occupied by Russian troops, local authorities said on Saturday. "The Ukrainian forces shelled a bakery in Lysychansk, civilians are among the rubble," wrote Leonid Pasechnik, the head of pro-Russian separatists forces in the Luhansk region, on his Telegram channel.

Russia on Saturday said the death toll from a Ukrainian attack on the eastern occupied city of Lysychansk rose to 20 after rescuers pulled more bodies out from under the rubble of a building that housed a bakery.

"In Lysychansk, employees of the Russian emergency ministry recovered the bodies of 20 people from under the rubble," the ministry said on Telegram.
