MEPs vote massively to strip vice president Eva Kaili over corruption scandal
Members of the European Parliament have voted overwhelmingly in favour of removing Eva Kaili from her position as vice president. The motion was backed by 625 EU lawmakers. One voted against it. The heads of all political groups earlier launched the procedure to oust Kaili.

The European Parliament on Tuesday voted massively to strip one of its vice presidents, Eva Kaili, of her position over a corruption scandal allegedly linked to Qatar.
MEPs voted 625 to one to remove Kaili from the post. She is one of six people who were arrested in Belgian police raids as part of a probe into the suspected graft, with four having been charged and two released
Kaili's lawyer has insisted she is innocent.
