Russia hit with missiles an artillery training center in Ukraine's Sumy region on Saturday where foreign instructors work, Russian news agencies cited the Russian Defence Ministry as saying.
Another strike destroyed a "foreign mercenaries'" outpost in the Odesa region, it said.
The ministry also said that its forces shot down a Ukrainian military transport plane carrying weapons and munitions near the Black Sea port of Odesa.
