ABC's revival of "Roseanne" has been canceled after Roseanne Barr tweeted a racial message suggesting that former Obama Adviser, Valerie Jarrett, is a product of the Muslim Brotherhood and the "Planet of the Apes."
Earlier this month, the network also said "Roseanne" would cool its politics and concentrate on family stories when it returned next year for the second season of its revival.
The show's return had exceeded all expectations, with the support of Roseanne Barr's character for President Donald Ttump attracting attention.
Barr, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, Lecy Goranson and Michael Fishman all attended the upfront, where networks promote their new lineup to advertisers.
Gilbert, both a cast member and executive producer of the revival, also stuck to the message that the series was not a political one.
