Archaeologists discover slave skeleton

A group of archaeologists excavating at a slave cemetery near a Rio deJ port have found the well-preserved skeletal remains of a young African woman. The excavation work took place over a period of seven months at a cemetery called "pretos novos", or "new blacks" in English. The remains are believed to be some 200 years old, a time when the slave trade in the new world of the Americas was rife.
