Baby formula shortage | Inflation and supply chain issues leave American parents desperate

For months, parents across the U.S. have been searching for infant formula that has all but disappeared from shelves. Shortages developed after Abbott recalled Similac and other baby formula in February following complaints of bacterial infections in infants. The FDA later cited five bacterial infections reported in babies given the company's formula, including two deaths.
