Türkiye on ‘right side of history,’ to continue diplomacy for peace: Communications director

Türkiye has stood "on the right side of history" in regional and global crises and will continue its diplomatic efforts to reduce risks, Türkiye's Communications Director Burhanettin Duran said on Wednesday.

Duran stated on Turkish social media platform NSosyal that the country has "kept diplomacy alive" under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to mitigate regional and global risks.

He added that recent developments have demonstrated "the importance of diplomacy" and confirmed the correctness of Erdoğan's approach.

Duran said the president has been conducting "leader diplomacy in the most effective way" since the beginning of conflicts in the region to ensure peace and stability.

He also emphasized that diplomatic initiatives will continue to support cease-fire efforts.

"The president's diplomatic moves will continue with determination to ensure the cease-fire and not to waste the opportunity for lasting peace," he said.
