Personal data taken in UK legal aid cyber attack, govt says
Britain's Legal Aid Agency confirmed a cyber attack on May 16, revealing that a group had accessed and downloaded a significant amount of personal data from legal aid applicants since 2010. The breach is under investigation.

Britain's Legal Aid Agency reported a cyber attack which it said had resulted in a group accessing and downloading a "significant" amount of personal data from those who digitally applied for legal aid since 2010.
"On Friday 16 May we discovered the attack was more extensive than originally understood and that the group behind it had accessed a large amount of information relating to legal aid applicants," the government said in a statement on Monday.
