Turkey won its first-ever gold medal on Sunday in the European Race Walking Cup held in Altus, Lithuania.
Turkey won a silver and two gold medals in the race.
Race walking prodigy Meryem Bekmez claimed both individual and team titles in the under 20 women's 10 kilometers finishing at 45:37.
Evin Demir walked the same distance in 46:49 coming second.
