Syrian Kurdish mother denounces YPG/PKK terror group

Meryem Sheyhani is just one of many Syrian Kurds who fled Syria to Turkey to escape the persecution of the YPG/PKK terror group, which invaded their region.

The terror group killed Sheyhani's children and seized her house, car and workplace.

She told Anadolu Agency that, after her children were killed, she suffers greatly everyday because of that.

"My children are in my mind continuously," 58-year-old Sheyhani said.

She said she hopes the YPG/PKK terrorists, who caused her pain would also live through the same pain one day.

"They (YPG/PKK) do not have any relationship with Kurdishness, on the contrary, they have oppressed us. We are also Kurds but not terrorists," Sheyhani said.

She said the terror group has caused great destruction in Syria's Qamishli and Rasulayn.

"It [YPG/PKK] did every kind of evil acts to the people, it took their properties from their hands," Sheyhani said.

She said her family was rich but now they lost everything.

The PYD/YPG is the Syrian offshoot of the PKK, a terrorist group recognized by Turkey, the U.S., and EU, which in its 30-year terror campaign has taken some 40,000 lives, including women and children.

Turkey rejects any conflation between the YPG/PKK and ethnic Kurds, arguing the terror group threatens Syria's Kurds, Turkmens and Arabs.

According to the latest estimates, the YPG/PKK currently holds a third of Syrian territories.
