A strong earthquake measuring 7.3 struck off the South Pacific nation of Vanuatu on Monday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported.
The tremor occurred at around 0844 GMT, northeast of Luganville, the country's second-largest city.
The earthquake, recorded at a depth of approximately 72 miles, caused no immediate reports of damage at the time of publication.
