As part of NATO's Enhanced Vigilance Activities, the third edition of the "Neptune Strike" exercise, which started on September 22, involves a total of 44 units from allied countries including Türkiye, Italy, and the USA.
The Turkish Naval Forces take a leading role in the exercise with the Anadolu Task Group, consisting of TCG Anadolu, TCG Gökova, TCG Gökçeada, TCG I. İnönü, 5 helicopters, 5 Armored Amphibious Assault Vehicles (ZAHA), 4 tank landing vehicles, 8 boats, 1 Underwater Attack (SAT) mission team, 1 first-class diver team, and 1 amphibious marine battalion.
On the press day event of the exercise, a group of journalists was hosted aboard the TCG Anadolu ship.
On the press day, the allied ships participating in the exercise conducted a joint passage training today.
Since the start of "Neptune Strike 25.3" on September 22, participating units have been conducting light weapon firing, maritime control operations, amphibious rehearsals, amphibious raids, anti-submarine warfare, mass casualty evacuation drills, and reloading-boarding activities.
