Akşit noted that Şanlıurfa has a high proportion of young people and said it is important for TEI to bring national technologies together with youth through TEKNOFEST.
Stressing that young people are Türkiye's future, Akşit said: "Seeing young people excites us. They truly are the future of our country. Showing them the technological developments we are making here, encouraging their interest, raising their awareness and guiding them toward these fields is something we also want."
Referring to TEI's progress in engine technologies in a short period of time, Akşit said engines are among the most difficult parts of aircraft.
"The hardest part is where the flame is. Controlling where the fire burns. Controlling fire has always been one of humanity's greatest challenges. It means controlling energy. And we do this inside the engine. Thank God, in a very short time, TEI and Türkiye have made serious progress," he said.
