Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes, which are described as the 'disaster of the century' and affected 11 provinces, also caused great destruction in villages and rural neighborhoods. Local people living in İncirli town of the Korkudere district, which is 38 kilometers away from Doğanşehir district and on the Adıyaman border, experienced a second disaster after the first 7.7 magnitude earthquake on the 6th of February. Due to the landslide that occurred minutes after the earthquake, the 15-digit town, which was dragged down 500 meters from its location, became a pile of debris. The town where houses, barns, 2 tractors, 2 cars and 200 goats remained under the ground was viewed with a drone. Mustafa Kubat, the headman of Karadağdere neighborhood, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that on the morning of the earthquake, when they looked at the area where the town was located, they saw that the houses were gone. Kubat said that almost half of the mountain above the town had slipped down, and that they were shocked by this sight. Mehmet Kubat, one of the residents of the town, said that they had difficulty going out from home with his family after the earthquake. Explaining that sounds of movement from the ground continued for a long time after the quake, Kubat said: ''After the earthquake, the sounds coming from the ground never stopped. Then we saw the ground began to split, hills began to form and some strange movements took place.'' ''We realized later that the soil had fallen off from the mountain and reached to the area we were in. We noticed that 15 houses in the town had slipped 500 meters down. Many of these houses are buried in the ground.' he added.
