Explaining that this celestial event is caused by the Moon's disc being in front of the Sun's disc, Yılmaz said, "Thus, the Moon covers a part of the Sun that we see in the sky, and we feel the sun's light a little less. The reason why this event is called a partial solar eclipse is because the entire solar disc is not covered." said.
Stating that the partial solar eclipse is not a periodic celestial event and it was last seen in Türkiye in 2020, Yılmaz said: "We see that the solar disk is covered by 40 percent in Ankara. But when we go a little further north, for example Russia, Finland, West Asian regions will follow this rate by 60-70 percent.
