One of the most internationally recognized cultural events of the Spanish people, the San Fermin Festival—famous for people running with bulls through narrow streets—has begun.
The San Fermin Festival of Pamplona, a city in the autonomous region of Navarra in northern Spain, officially started with a rocket (Chupinazo) launched from the city hall.

In the run, known as "Encierro," participants wear white pants, t-shirts, and sneakers while tying the red scarf, the symbol of San Fermin, around their necks along the 875-meter route through the city center.
