Due to roadwork, traffic was limited to one lane in the area where the accident occurred. Following the accident, police, fire department, emergency medical services (112), and the Provincial Disaster and Emergency Directorate were dispatched to the scene.
Of the two drivers who were injured in the accident and taken to Bilecik Education and Research Hospital, Yavuz Selim P. is reported to be in critical condition.
As a precaution against the possibility of a leakage from the 21-ton sulfuric acid-loaded truck, the authorities took measures in the area, and transportation was disrupted for about two hours.
After the trucks were removed, traffic returned to normal.
