Five dead in attack at Australian shopping centre

Five people have been killed and a number of others are in critical condition after being stabbed in a Sydney shopping centre, New South Wales Police say.

"Tragically, multiple casualties have been reported and the first thoughts of all Australians are with those affected and their loved ones," Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese wrote on social media platform X.
