Trump criticized Canada for acting like a state without being one, accusing them of high agricultural tariffs, amid an ongoing trade dispute where Canada's PM accused the US of using tariffs to hurt them.

US President Donald Trump on Sunday criticized Canada over tariffs and renewed his criticism of Ottawa's relationship with Washington.
"Canada wants the benefits of being a State, without being one!!!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.
He also accused Canada of imposing high tariffs on US agricultural products, saying: "They have also charged our great farmers, for many years, massive amounts of Tariffs. No more!!!"
The comments came amid an ongoing trade dispute between the two countries.
Earlier, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney accused the US of using new tariffs to "hurt and divide" Canada, calling the measures "a miscalculation" and pledging dollar-for-dollar retaliation beginning Sept. 8.
Carney also said Canada had suspended trade talks with Washington after the US made demands that Ottawa could not accept, while US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said Canada had walked away from a nearly completed agreement that would have further reduced tariffs on its exports to the US market.
