An Israeli occupier was injured Sunday in a stabbing attack near the village of Al-Auja in the Jordan Valley, east of the occupied West Bank.
In a statement on the US social media company X, Israeli police said the circumstances of the incident were "under investigation."
Israel's national ambulance service MDA said the occupier sustained moderate injuries in the attack.
In a separate statement, the Israeli army said that a manhunt for the perpetrator was underway, adding that its forces began imposing a security cordon and closure on the Palestinian village.
From time to time, Israel witnesses shooting, stabbing or vehicle-ramming attacks, as Tel Aviv continues to escalate its military campaign against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
Israel's escalation in the West Bank, including attacks by the army and occupiers since the start of the Gaza war, has killed 1,182 Palestinians and injured more than 12,000 others, in addition to the arrest of around 24,000, according to Palestinian official figures.
