A Turkish ship came under attack on Friday in the Black Sea west of the Crimean Peninsula annexed by Russia, leaving one person dead and four others wounded, authorities said.

In a statement, the coastguard command said the attack targeted the Turkish-flagged DURU 67 fishing vessel off the coast of Sevastopol, which sank after the attack. The authorities did not provide details on the circumstances of the assault or identify those responsible.
