During the AK Party parliamentary group meeting, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke out against the merciless assaults on Gaza that have been taking place since October 7.

Pointing a finger at the intentional harm inflicted on civilians, with bombings on fleeing refugees and the deliberate destruction of their basic necessities, Erdoğan described the attacks as the most treacherous and heinous in human history, with mosques, schools, hospitals, and refugee camps deliberately targeted.

"Not only does this dark stain belong to Netanyahu, but it also clings to the forehead of all those who blindly support him. This disgraceful blemish will never fade away. We refuse to overlook the human rights violations and acts of war in Gaza, and we cannot ignore the apathy of most Western nations, with few exceptions. We will exhaust all efforts to hold the Israeli government accountable under international law and moral responsibility," Erdoğan said in a statement.

Erdoğan laid out the following statements in his speech:

"Our brothers and sisters in Gaza have been subjected to the most treacherous and despicable attacks in human history since October 7. Mosques were bombed, schools were laid to waste, hospitals were razed, and refugee camps they sought shelter in were deliberately targeted. Bombs rained down on civilians on the roads, and innocent infants, whom mothers could not bear to part with, were ruthlessly killed.

They forced fathers to collect the pieces of their children, whom they cherished like the apple of their eyes. They applied a kind of genocide by cutting off the food, fuel, medicine, bread, electricity, water, and communication of 2.3 million people, squeezing them into a 360-kilometer open-air prison.

For 50 days in front of the eyes of the whole world, they burned and destroyed Gaza. They committed every kind of atrocity that went down in human history as a dark stain. Those subjected to Israeli oppression in Gaza have experienced a living hell since October 7. This is how a poet describes it. Approximately 16,000 Gazans, with over 70% being women and children, became martyrs due to Israel's attacks. Over 35,000 of our Palestinian brothers and sisters were wounded. I commemorate each martyr with mercy and pray for swift healing for the wounded.

Two-thirds of the buildings in Gaza have been destroyed or rendered unusable. The healthcare and education infrastructure in Gaza is completely collapsed. Netanyahu, who committed one of the greatest atrocities of the last century in Gaza, has already inscribed his name in history as the "Butcher of Gaza." This black stain is not only on Netanyahu but also on everyone who unconditionally supports him. This shameful mark will never be cleansed.

We will never forget the human rights and war crimes committed in Gaza, nor will we forget the indifference of Western countries, except for a couple. We will try every available avenue for the Israeli administration to be accountable before the international law and human conscience.

By committing these crimes, Netanyahu is fueling antisemitism and endangering the safety of all Jews along with the Israeli people."
