During the 2024 budget discussions at the Parliamentary Planning and Budget Commission, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan delivered a presentation and provided notable remarks.

"So far, approximately 12,000 Palestinians have lost their lives in Israeli attacks. We will not accept the bombing of mosques under any circumstances. We are determined to work together for lasting peace.
It is crucial for the regional countries to exert pressure on Israel as a unified voice to halt the attacks on Gaza. The only solution is the establishment of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders.
We have delivered material equivalent to 11 aircraft to Egypt. Efforts are ongoing for the evacuation of 983 of our citizens. The exit of 170 citizens from Gaza has been facilitated.
We have initiated engagement with the (Syrian) regime. Our priority is the elimination of terrorist threats. Unfortunately, some countries continue to support PKK/YPG.
Regarding (Iraq), we convey our messages to ensure the rights of our Turkmen kinsmen are not hindered.
In the coming period, the President of Iran will visit our country.
We continue our solidarity with Azerbaijan in every sense within the motto of 'One nation, two states.' By ending the 30-year occupation, peace has been established in the South Caucasus. We are coordinating with Azerbaijan in the normalization process with Armenia.
Turkey maintains its EU membership bid.
If there is to be negotiations in Cyprus, it will be between two states, not two communities. The conditions of the two states will be equalized before starting negotiations.
Our relations with Greece are evolving positively. We are preparing for the High-Level Cooperation Meeting on December 7, 2023."
