Delivering a speech at the grand opening ceremony in Türkiye's Black Sea province of Rize, Turkish President Recep Erdoğan has vowed not to leave oppressed Palestinian brothers and sisters in abandonment and despair.

Turkish leader Erdoğan expressed the following in his address:

"We can all witness the global challenges. We find ourselves surrounded by turmoil. Our commitment extends to safeguarding the safety of our borders in Syria and Iraq while standing by our brethren. Our mission is to foster peace and stability in the Balkans and the Caucasus.

We shall remain steadfast where our allies and kin depend on us. It is our solemn duty to liberate our Palestinian brothers from Israeli oppression and to end the tragedy in Gaza. Our humanitarian obligation is to bring the perpetrators to justice. Rest assured, we are going above and beyond the visible efforts in Gaza.

We refuse to leave our brothers and sisters in abandonment and despair. It is our historical responsibility to call out the crimes of those supporting this immoral, unscrupulous, despicable massacre (in Gaza).

Alongside our current endeavours, we are also developing initiatives to protect the rights of the oppressed worldwide.

As we work on projects spanning 3-5 years in some areas and 5-10 years in others, Türkiye will undoubtedly transform into a different entity on the global stage."

The residents of Gaza are suffering from a catastrophic humanitarian and health situation. Israel still bars fuel entry into Gaza, leaving many hospitals out of service.

According to the UN and Red Cross, insufficient amount of humanitarian aid is being allowed to the Gaza Strip, which has been under a near-total blockade for 30 days.

Over 9,700 Palestinians including 4,800 children and 2,055 women have been killed in Israeli bombardments since Oct. 7, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.

Nearly 1,540 Israelis have been killed.
