Maduro: Israel has been carrying out "massacres" in Gaza Strip

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro expressed deep concern over the situation in Gaza and described it as a "genocide against the Palestinian people."
Maduro said that Israel has been carrying out "massacres" in Gaza on numerous occasions, with civilian buildings being indiscriminately targeted, leading to the deaths of women and children.

Maduro called for urgent action from people of all faiths, including Muslims, Christians, and Jews worldwide, to appeal to the United Nations (UN) for a ceasefire. He drew attention to the critical need to halt the ongoing violence in Gaza, where civilians are suffering due to relentless bombings and attacks.

Maduro called for the initiation of peace negotiations without delay and emphasized the importance of establishing an independent and sovereign Palestinian State in accordance with UN resolutions. He pointed a finger at the long-standing history of oppression and discrimination faced by the Palestinian people.

Maduro pointed out that the UN issued a binding resolution in 1967, stipulating that the borders established for Israel and the State of Palestine should be respected, with East Jerusalem designated as the capital of Palestine. However, he lamented that successive Israeli governments have consistently violated this decision.

Maduro urged the new generation to examine the history of Palestine, underlining that oppression, blockade, and injustice have persisted for years. He highlighted how Palestinian lands have been gradually taken away over time and emphasized the division of Palestinian territories. Maduro criticized the international media for turning a blind eye to these realities.

Maduro expressed unwavering support for the Palestinian people and endorsed Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas' call for a two-state solution.
"I wholeheartedly concur with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. His choice of words is remarkably sound. We must strive for a fair and comprehensive peace that honors UN resolutions. I hold the belief that President Erdogan, as a statesman, could play a pivotal role in mediating this situation, securing a ceasefire, and catalyzing a just and enduring peace," Maduro said in a statement while concluding his comments related to the Israel-Palestine conflict.
