Turkey's death toll from novel coronavirus outbreak rises by 119 to 2,259 - health minister
Turkey on Tuesday confirmed 119 more fatalities from the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the toll to 2,259. The total number of registered coronavirus cases surged to 95,591, as 4,611 more people tested positive for the virus, the Health Ministry said on the official Twitter page.

Turkey's confirmed cases of the COVID-19 disease increased by 4,611 in the past 24 hours, and 119 more people have died, taking the death toll to 2,259, Health Ministry data showed on Tuesday.
The total number of cases in the country stood at 95,591, the data showed. A total of 14,918 people have recovered from the new coronavirus so far, and the number of tests carried out over the past 24 hours stood at 39,429.
After originating in China last December, COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus, has spread to at least 185 countries and regions across the world. Europe and the U.S. are currently the worst-hit regions.
The pandemic has killed over 171,800 people, with total infections exceeding 2.5 million, while nearly 660,000 have recovered from the disease, according to figures compiled by the U.S.-based Johns Hopkins University.
