Turkey's state-run aid agency distributed food packages to families Thursday in the southwestern Niger, as part of its relief efforts during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) distributed food packages to 1,000 needy families in Niger's southwestern Torodi and Kollo provinces, according to a statement issued by the agency.
The packages included rice, flour, cooking oil, sugar and other food provisions.
Turkey's Ambassador to Niger Mustafa Türker Arı attended the distribution ceremony in Kollo.
