The Swedish minister congratulated a Turkish-born taxi driver in Sweden on Friday for lending his credit card to a customer who forgot their own while trying to catch a flight at the airport.
"We will build a stronger and warmer society thanks to people like Ömer Temel. I thank him for this sensitive behavior," said Energy and Digital Development Minister Andres Ygeman, in a radio program together with Temel.
On Thursday, Temel received an award of 13,000 Swedish krona ($1,360) from his company for his "heroic" action.
Last week, Temel made headlines in Sweden for giving his personal credit card to a customer who had forgotten their wallet while heading to the airport for three-days business trip to Germany.
Temel was hailed a hero for his action and hailed by both Swedish and Turkish people.
